Grammar course for second year introduces students to the English syntax. It deals with complex syntactic categories, such as noun phrases, adjective phrases, and adverb phrases. Besides, it sheds light on subordinate finite structures, which are noun clauses, adjective clauses and adverbial clauses. At the end of the year, students will be able to write different complex sentences based on the knoweldge they have acquired in the grammar course.  

This course deals with complex English grammar structures and sentence patterns. It begins with an introduction to the major syntactic categories and the structure of the sentence. Each lesson from that point will center on a type of clause/phrase including (a) noun clauses/phrases , (b) adjective clauses/phrases, and (c) adverbial clauses/ phrases. The aim is to enhance students' written and spoken performances in academic settings through the correct use of such complex grammatical structures.
